Frank De Graeve interviewed us about our work on language applications for research in the humanities and social sciences.
The article explores why we develop specialised tools on VUB’s own computing infrastructure: mainstream applications do not always work well with materials such as historical texts or children’s voices, large datasets can make commercial services prohibitively expensive, and sensitive research data often requires a secure local environment. It also highlights how high-performance computing can support researchers in fields that are not traditionally considered technical.
Many thanks to Frank for spreading our story! Read the full interview on the VUB website.
