What It Does

This app lets you upload a .csv file and edit it in a spreadsheet-like table. After making changes, you can download the edited data again as a CSV file.

It is useful for small corrections, quick clean-up work, or checking whether a dataset looks the way you expect.

When To Use It

Use this app when you want to inspect and lightly edit tabular data without opening a separate spreadsheet program.

Research Examples

  1. Correct small errors in metadata, such as document dates, author names, or source labels.
  2. Add or adjust simple coding columns before using a dataset in another B-TXT tool.

Good To Know

This app is intended for CSV files. For very large datasets or complex cleaning work, a more specialised workflow in Python, R, or spreadsheet software may be more comfortable.

You can find this app in the B-TXT toolsuite under Interactive Apps on the VUB-HPC portal.
